Comments

When members or visitors leave comments on our site, we collect the information shown in the comment form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent to help prevent spam.

An anonymized string (also known as a hash) created from your email address may be shared with the Gravatar service to determine if you have a registered profile image. You can view the Gravatar privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture will be visible to the public alongside your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the site (for example, for your member profile or group discussions), please avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Other visitors may be able to download and extract this information from uploaded images.

Comment cookies: If you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name, email, and website in cookies. This saves you from re-entering your details when you comment again. These cookies last for one year.

Comments: Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely to recognize and approve future comments automatically.
Membership accounts: For registered members, we store the personal information you provide in your profile. You can view, edit, or delete your personal details at any time (except for your username). Website administrators can also view and manage this information as needed for account support.

Your Data Rights

If you have a membership account or have left comments on our site, you can request:

A copy of the personal data we hold about you, and
That we delete your personal data.

This does not include data we are required to retain for administrative, legal, or security reasons.
